Moneyscalp Winter Series Round 3 2010 Report  E-mail

Round 3 of the Winter Series brought us to the famous Moneyscalp Woods, Co. Down. The track was almost bone dry in places due to the nice weather in the week leading into Chain Reactions event. The track was quite short, not much change from 2009s race track. Some liked it, other disliked. The track held up well on Saturday and after a good days practice from all, it was wrapped up and got prepared for race day. There was a smaller number of Flow members present than usual, some say it was because it was Valentines Day. After practice Seanan and Dan got a new form of entertainment, sending the big wooden kicker in the mountainboard track which was being used as the car park for the event.

Here's how racing fared:

Our U14er, Ben Kennedy raced well to finish in 2nd place, less than to seconds of Jacob Dickson. Amazing for Ben considering he had only a back break, half a day of practice and  his first ride out on his bike. Following that result, it looks like Ben will be up there this year, Well done Ben!

Dan once again smoked everyone and finished in 1st place in the U16 Catergory, his time was good enough to win Juniors and to finish 5th place in the Elite Catergory. Adam 'Turtlebert' Tarbett once again finished in 3rd place. Its good to see the catergory been dominated by Flow Racing!

In the Super vets category, Tom was a lonesome racer with the absence of Peter. Tom rode well to finish in 2nd Place, finishing 3 seconds behind Moneyscalp local Victor Mcminn.

Seanan was our only Elite racer, who managed to finish in 5th posistion in a competive category, with very close times may I add.

Well Done to all.

The next Winter Series race is once again in Moneyscalp Woods in a weeks time, hopefully there will be more Flow Racers present to fly the flag for the team.
